Tyazhpromexport has started construction of a medical center in Magnitogorsk
The opening ceremony was attended by Alexey Texler, Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, Yuli Elbakidze, Minister of Construction and Infrastructure of the Chelyabinsk Region, Sergey Berdnikov, Mayor of Magnitogorsk, and Sergey Egorov, CEO of Tyazhpromexport. Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation, sent congratulations on the start of work to the head of the region.
"Today we have launched the construction of a very important healthcare facility for the residents of Magnitogorsk and the entire Chelyabinsk Region. We are consistently and comprehensively modernizing the medical organization system in the region. Over the past seven years, we have built and overhauled about 460 facilities, including about a hundred last year. We are providing a balanced approach to the availability of medical care, developing the primary healthcare system and at the same time creating large multifunctional medical centers. One of them will be built on the site where we laid the symbolic stone today. The decision to build a new center in Magnitogorsk was made personally by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Magnitogorsk MMC will meet the needs of highly qualified medical care for more than half a million residents of a large agglomeration in the south of the Chelyabinsk region. This is a very significant and large-scale project both for Magnitogorsk and for the region as a whole. Complex design and technological solutions will be in demand during its construction, so we welcome the participation of our reliable partners from among companies that have already proven themselves during the implementation of large—scale projects, primarily Rostec State Corporation and Tyazhpromexport," said Alexey Texler, Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region.
When designing the complex, the most modern requirements for patient safety and accessibility of the environment for people with different mobility were taken into account. The architectural solution assumes that all buildings of the medical center will be connected by a single transport and communication corridor. This will ensure maximum logistics efficiency, rapid movement of staff and patients, as well as well-coordinated work of all diagnostic and treatment units. The hospital of the new center is designed for almost 500 beds, including intensive care units, intensive care units, diagnostic and outpatient units.
"Tyazhpromexport, a member of Rostec State Corporation, has gained extensive experience in implementing complex design and technological solutions that will be required for the construction of this facility. Her portfolio includes the construction of 15 perinatal centers in different regions of the country, a new tuberculosis dispensary in Khabarovsk and other medical institutions.
I am convinced that this socially significant healthcare project will be successfully implemented for the benefit of improving the standard and quality of life of Magnitogorsk residents," said Sergey Chemezov, head of Rostec.
The contract was signed less than two months ago. During this time, a significant amount of preparatory work was carried out, including loosening and removal of 18.5 thousand cubic meters of soil. Trees have been cut down, and work on the preparation of the territory has been completed.
"The medical Center in Magnitogorsk is a modern and technologically advanced complex focused on providing high—quality and affordable medical care. The main organizational work has begun at the site: a construction camp is being built, more than 70 specialists and 40 pieces of equipment are involved," said Sergey Egorov, Director General of Tyazhpromexport.
VO Tyazhpromexport, together with its subsidiaries, implements projects in the field of healthcare. The company has built a new TB dispensary building in Khabarovsk and is building four more medical facilities in the regions of Russia. In addition, the RT-Sotsstroy company, which is part of the contour of the association, has built 15 perinatal centers in different regions of the country.
